Material: Levi’s denim with vintage Balenciaga dustbags

An early upcycling experiment that pushed RWRK Studio’s approach to reconstructed denim further. These jeans explored upcycling not as decoration, but as structure, using reclaimed Balenciaga dustbags integrated directly into reworked Levi’s denim.

The design focused on contrast and disruption, combining dark denim panels, exposed seams, and raw finishes with recognisable luxury references. Through upcycling, familiar materials were given new hierarchy and purpose, transforming everyday jeans into a one-of-one garment.

Each pair was produced individually through a hands-on upcycling process, resulting in natural variation across texture, placement, and finish. The piece reflects RWRK’s early commitment to upcycling as both a design method and a cultural statement.
